Hello again, The Austins of Cooroy are on the road again. We have just travelled 1812km down from Cooroy to Geelong in Victoria in 2.5 days. We had to cover 600km just to reach the Queensland border with NSW. We travelled from Cooroy north to Gympie and then turned inland to Goomeri and down to Murgon, Kingaroy, Dalby to Goondiwindi on the state border.
We spent the first night at Coonabarabran and then continued our journey down through Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes & Narrandera. The second night we spent beside a creek at Jerilderie alongside another couple with a caravan. We then crossed the border into Victoria & travelled south through Shepperton & followed the ring road around Melbourne to Geelong.
Geelong will be the official start to our trip along the Great Ocean Road west towards South Australia and Adelaide & from there across the Nullarbor to Western Australia & north to the Northern Territory and back down through Queensland Outback home.
We have explored Geelong today and will spend the night here. Tomorrow will head along the Great Ocean Road to Torquay..............
