Victor Harbour - Still very strong winds but hot when you managed to avoid them.

The  next day we visited the neighbouring town of Port Elliot.  An historic town with many interesting old buildings and shops.  I reckon the Council Chamber must be one of the smallest ones ever.

Everywhere we went down here, there were beautiful flowers and roses in particular.

Following are a few veiws of Victor Harbour.  It is a lot bigger than Port Elliot and extends along the coastline.  It also has some interesting old stone buildings.

Encounter Bay was named by Matthew Flinders after an encounter with the French explorer Baudin when their ships met while exploring this coastline.  England and France were at war at the time.
