Albany - Denmark - Parry Beach - Cold - 18C
Went for an early morning walk along the beach but as it was so cold we decided to have a look around Albany and then move on. Our Qld driving licences had to be renewed so we had to have photos done and then find a JP to sign that they looked like us and verify that we were who we said we were. They are due once every 5 years - why oh why did it have to be now? Anyway we found a very helpful JP (justice of the peace) at the Albany Court House so it is all done and posted.

Albany town on the river |
Albany is a lovely town with a beautiful natural harbour - it is a pity that the weather wasn't warmer so that we could spend more time here. There are some lovely old buildings and the beaches would be lovely in the sun.
We stopped at
Denmark to have a look around. The sun had come out and it had warmed up considerably. Denmark is a small pretty town with lots of flowers and interesting shops.

Parry Beach was lovely - off the beaten track. It was free camping next to the beach. Unfortunately our van was too high to get into the main camping area because the trees were low so we camped across the road in the "overflow" - an area for larger vans. There were several other vans there. We would have liked to stay longer but the "overflow" had a limit of 1 night so we had to move on the next day to Margaret River - famous for its' wineries.
