Busselton to Mandurah -  Sunny with a few clouds - 24C  - Distance only 108km

Short journey today.  We had intended to go to a caravan park just outside Mandurah which we thought was on the beach but a couple just across from us had just come from there and they said they had checked the park out and it was not too good also it was not on the beach.  They recommended another c/van park so we headed there instead.  That is one of the good things about travelling like this - you meet so many people and can pick up some good tips on where to stay.  They also said that there was a guy at this park that fixed problems with vans and we have been having problems with our fridge - it is only working on gas at the moment and not electric.

We called in at Binningup on the way.  A pretty coastal village with a beautiful beach.  Once again the main activities were fishing and surfing.

We like Mandurah - they have recently spent a lot of money on the esplanade, marina and in fact all of the waterfront.  There is a lovely boardwalk with cafes etc. The town centre is small but is right next to the water - a lovely setting.  Unfortunately, the caravan parks are all out of town and there are no good walks or bikeways close by.  We have to drive into town to walk along the esplanade.

Back at the caravan park - very green, lots of trees and ducks everywhere - also a chicken running with them!  They are very tame and come right up to the caravan.
