Esperance  - Cloudy at first but turning into a beautiful sunny day.

Today we decided to explore the Cape Le Grande National Park only a short distance from Esperance.  The scenery was stunning - from the huge rocky hills to the bluest of bays with startlingly white sands.  My little camera was unable to do justice to this beautiful area.  RWR would have done a much better job!

Note the cave through the rock to the sky
Many many years ago the sea level was 250m higher and the waves  eroded the rocks and formed caves such as the one above.

Thistle Cove

This is one of the most beautiful beaches that I have ever seen.  My camera does not do justice to the true colours in the water.  In addition to the blues seen above, there was a real turquoise colour in the shallow water.  The water was very very clear.

We have decided that we will have to return here one day and spend a week at least camping in the National Park. There are only limited spaces for caravans and campers.
