Streaky Bay to Ceduna - Hot and sunny Temps approx 33C

Today was a short journey from Streaky to Ceduna.  The country is very dry.  There is sheep farming in the area - it is a picture of what many overseas people think Australia is like - dry, brown and full of sheep!

A Sheep Farm

.  We called in at Smokey Bay which was named by Matthew Flinders because of the many fires they could see ashore which had been lit by the local aborigines.

We will stay here for 2 nights so that we can prepare for our crossing of The Nullarbor which will take 3 - 4 days.  A distance of 1194km of semi-desert plains.
