Ceduna  - Hot and sunny Temps rose to 39C today - very hot

Ceduna Caravan Park

Main street Ceduna

After an early morning walk we spent the day getting ready to cross the Nullarbor.  Terry did some repairs to the caravan and we picked up a few supplies including another water container for drinking water.  The tanks on the van are full but it is surprising how much water you use even when you are trying to be careful.  We will probably stay in free o/night rest areas where we can.  There are no major towns  on the way - just fuel stops and pubs and the occasional small community. The distance between Ceduna & Norseman is 1194km.

Phone & internet connecton is uncertain so my blog may be suspended for a few days.  Also we will have no power to charge phones, laptops etc unless we choose to stay in a caravan park somewhere. The van battery does not charge these items.

The Nullarbor Plains are arid semi-desert but the road does touch the coast occasionally.  It is 480km to the West Australian border and Border Village which will probably be our first stop.

So watch this space..................................
