Busselton - Weather - fine and 24C
Bussleton has a very long pier -
almost 2km. Busselton used to be a busy port and the pier was extended to cater for bigger and bigger ships over the past 100 years. When the port closed, the government was going to demolish the pier but the local community stepped in and saved it. It is now used for pleasure activities such as fishing and the annual
Round the Pier Ocean Swim as seen below. There is an underwater observatory at the end of the pier and a railway to transport tourists to the end of the pier and back.
