Denham & Monkey Mia - Sunny with blue skies and HOT - 38C                Distance - 380km

We drove up the North West Coastal Highway - mile after mile of very little - similar to Queensland Outback.   Very little traffic.  Only signs of habitation en route were two roadhouses - Billabong Roadhouse and Overlander Roadhouse at the turnoff to Denham and Monkey Mia otherwise absolutely nothing!  Denham is the gateway township to Monkey Mia.

Denham & Monkey Mia are in the Shark Bay Shire.  Denham is a very small town and Monkey Mia is a resort with cabins and a caravan park and is known throughout Australia (and much of the World) as the place to see dolphins in the wild.

Shark Bay

The colours in the water are beautiful
When in Ravenshoe in North Qld, we visited Qld highest pub - well, below is Australia's most westerly pub!

Shark Bay Hotel (in Denham) is the most westerly pub in Australia

The caravan park where we stayed is in Denham overlooking the ocean.  Just down the path and onto the beach.  It is very hot here so the sea breeze is much appreciated.

Watching the sunset

I think TJ is trying to compete with RWR as a photographer!
