Lake Argyle -             Lovely sunny day with blue skies                          High -   36C

Today we visited the relocated Argyle Homestead belonging to Patrick Durack.  Remember that the house was relocated stone by stone to its new location before the dam filled with water.  You can still see some of the numbers on the rock bricks.

The Headstones were also relocated

The homestead had wide verandas to keep it cool

The Dam

The hydro plant water gushing out

The beautiful park full of shady trees next to the dam wall
(we were there for over an hour and didn't see a soul)

Prior to the dam being built & the new hydro electricity supply -
Kununurra's power was provided by large generators

We spent the afternoon relaxing by the magnificent infinity pool. You can see Lake Argyle behind & below it.  It looks as if the water is flowing into the lake!  It is listed as one of the top 5 pools in Australia.  It is definatley the best location I have ever seen!

Lake Argyle Resort & Caravan Park Infinity Pool & Spa

The pool also has a spa
No newspapers for TJ here.  No phone, no internet, no fresh milk and only 1 TV channel - how will he survive???  But it is a lovely caravan park in a perfect location with lots of walks through the stunning scenery.  It's a pity we have to leave tomorrow!!!  We will definately come back here!
