Denham to Carnarvon - a bit cloudy to start with but soon sunny & hot Temp 37C Dist 326km
We hit the road early and travelled the 120km back to the North West Coastal Highway and stopped at the Overlander Roadhouse to refuel & grab a cup of coffee before heading north. From there the GPS advised us .........
Travel 198km and then turn left onto Robinson St.. Once again we travelled through mile after mile of scrub although we did see several groups of wild goats. We also saw a huge eagle feeding on some roadkill beside the road. There was very little traffic - mainly trucks heading south.

Carnarvon was a lot smaller than we expected from the big dot on the map. It is mainly a vegetable & fruit growing area and supplies 70% of Western Australia's winter vegetables. We had a drive around and saw the One Mile Jetty. While there, we met a Cornish couple who are here on holiday visiting their son who lives in Perth. We had a few laughs and filled them in about Queensland as they hope to visit there some time.

How close is that?

On arrival in Carnarvon we parked up so that we could go into the Post Office to collect our mail. It was only after we had parked that we noticed how close we had come to the tree!
Our mail had arrived. Lucky for me because it included my new driving licence, forwarded by She, She, Little Sheila! Thanks, She!
